Legislation – Nevada PVA Legislative program is to improve veteran’s benefits and support of the civil rights of all disabled citizens. Nevada PVA also donates prosthetic equipment (wheelchairs, walkers, and anything else we may have at the time) to those who do not meet the Veterans Administration requirements.

Advocacy – Promoting and defending the rights of disabled citizens, both veterans and non veterans, is the mission of Nevada PVA Advocacy program. Nevada PVA strives to remove all barriers and to enforce and approve the legal rights of all disable people.

Sports & Recreation – Nevada PVA maintains an active sports and recreation program for our members, and the disabled in our community. This program provides health benefits, support, opportunity, and camaraderie for all involved. Nevada PVA provides grants to our members to participate in a variety of recreational programs.

Membership – Nevada PVA maintains an active membership base. We provide membership opportunities for qualified veterans. Nevada PVA actively seeks new members, volunteers, and supporters.

Research – Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) conducts research studies for a better understanding of spinal cord dysfunction. PVA is one of the largest private supporters of spinal cord research in the United States. Some areas of investigation are: medical and clinical care, psychological adjustment, technology and devices to aid the disabled; and basic research through a cure for spinal cord injury. The Nevada PVA chapter donates funds each year to help support this program.

Communications – Nevada PVA maintains active communication with our members and the disabled community through a variety of resources. Nevada PVA maintains a website. Bi-monthly newsletters are sent to our membership. Various meeting are attended throughout Las Vegas and Reno.

Fundraising – Nevada PVA has various fundraising activities to raise money to support our programs and services. Fundraising activities include Grant Writing, Vehicle Donation Program, Annual Walk, Run & Roll,  Yard Sales, Trapshoot, Opportunity Drawings and generous donors who make contributions.
